一、Field Application Engineer FAE现场工程师

Key Responsibilities:

1. Identify new design and sales opportunities with key customers – both direct and through channel partners

2. Support trade exhibitions, and when applicable present technical papers

3. Provide first line technical support to key customers on during the sales process

4. Provide new product ideas back to product management and engineering.

5. Develop and/or review application notes / user guides.

Additional responsibilities:

a) Any reasonable task assigned by management and deemed to be within the individuals’ capabilities to ensure smooth running of the business.

b) As this is an evolving business, ongoing change is an integral part of the position. Management will liaise with the individual on any fundamental change to work practices. The individual is required to embrace and adopt any change to working practices.

Knowledge and skill requirements:

1. Degree master’s in electrical/Electronic engineering discipline or equivalent.

2. Experienced Field Application Engineer (5~8 years of experience) with prior experience in semiconductors.

3. better 2-3 years Technical Sales experience

4. better 3-5 years Technical Design experience

5. Understanding of design/system integration to identify where FTDI can provide solutions.

6. Understand schematics

7. Understand software flow / driver installation

8. Understand design win process – sampling, pilot run, mass production, pitch out of territory

9. Understand sales processes: timescales, shipping options, distribution

10. Knowledge of a variety of system interfaces e.g. USB, WIFI, Bluetooth, RFID, NFC, GPS, UART, SPI, I2C would be a plus.

11. Possess an understanding of sales process for semiconductor solutions

12. Knowledge of MCUs and display applications would be a plus.

13. Excellent communication skills in English (level cet6) and Chinese.

14. Willingness to work a flexible schedule and be prepared to travel.

二、Sales Engineer   (深圳)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Demand Creation - New customer base creation to present and sell the company's product to new potential customers throughout the territory.

2. Existing Channel management - Driving, Co-working with and managing distribution channels' resource with an aim to achieving budget revenue, business growth, market penetration and customer relationship.

3. To work closely with internal customer services, technical support and marketing team to ensure required support levels in terms of pricing, supply and delivery.

4. To prepare a variety of design-in and other status reports, including weekly activity and monthly action plans.

5. To work with the other FTDI teams to analyze potential customer opportunities based on incoming data from other departments.

6. Other ad-hoc duties

Any reasonable task assigned by management and deemed to be within the individual’s capabilities to ensure smooth running of the business.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

1. Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience within the semiconductor industry

2. Excellent writing and verbal communication skills

3. bachelor’s degree, preferably with a technical / semiconductor background.

4. Prior technical sales manager experience

5. Solid experience in solution sales (not commodity sales) with customer network in IT/ Industrial OEM/ODM

6. Excellent presentation skill

7. Must have experience of dealing with all levels of the customer relationship from engineering, procurement to senior Management.

8. Must have ability to resolve customer issues in all respects including pricing, deliverables, supply and quality.

9. Must have experience in managing global accounts.

10. A clear and concise communication skill is essential

11. Must be fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese, CET-6 at least.

12. Prior experience in USB, UART, I2C, SPI, Resistance Type Touch Panel technology would be a plus.

四、Inside Sales Representative

Key Responsibilities:

1.   Achieve team & individual business target, drive revenue growth and gain market share

2.   Identify the projects with high growth potential and acquire resources/ competencies to maximize design wins, including the involvement/support of the relevant HQ departments

3.   Monitor the sales and demand creation activities, and provide appropriate sales reporting timely

4.   Team up with marketing, application engineers, system engineers &management to achieve defined target

5.   Build strong and long-lasting relationship with customers

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

1.   3-5 years’ experience related to sales is preferred.

2.   Excellent writing and verbal communication skills

3.   Bachelor’s degree

4.   Familiar with MNC internal working process & timely written reporting

5.   Good interpersonal & communication skill for business propositions

6.   Ability to work under pressure from both internal & external

7.   Ability to articulate well business proposal along with technical across all levels of hierarchy

8.   Fluent written & oral English for business

五、Inside Sales Representative

Key Responsibilities:

1.   Participate in the development of new product proposals and schedules.

2.   Discuss/review new projects’ specifications.

3.   Gather and prioritize product and customer requirements, define the product vision, and work closely with engineering, sales, marketing, purchasing, and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.

4.   Manage the product management activities related to the product, including pricing, promotion, and product schedule, from the requirement to the end of life.

5.   Monitor and report the current chip projects’ design/testing/manufacture status.

6.   Support department and corporate to develop short term and long-term marketing plan for the company.

7.   Define the product strategy and roadmap.

8.   Other ad-hoc duties

1.   Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience within the semiconductor industry

6.   Ability to manage multiple tasks, technically capable, and strong communicator.

7.   Familiar with semiconductor design/test/manufacture processes

8.   Knowledge of Electronics or Semiconductor industry/product development is a plus.
